The battery lasts through a 12 hour lecture easily, only dropping to about 50%. I like the smooth writing feel compared to paper or a remarkable tablet, though some might not. There are screen protectors that make it feel more like paper. I use OneNote for notes and once you learn to copy photos and text and use the pen it's very handy. The screen is large which helps writing. The device condition was excellent and I can't tell it's refurbished.
