The box belonged to the phone but the instruction leaflet was for a Huawei Ascend. Luckily I found all the info I needed on Huawei's website. Their operating system is called EMUI, which is their version of Android. The update versions are almost random. The 2019 and 2021 P Smart phones were updated to V12 but the 2020 model is still on V9 with no plans or explanation for an upgrade. Cloning went okay but only 5 out of 121 apps transferred. None of the Huawei apps were on the phone so I had to find and install them online. Installing all the apps took three days. Huawei ID does not show in the settings menu but I found it by searching. Huawei said this is a feature of this model but gave no explanation. The phone works fine now it is set up and has plenty of memory. The problems come from Huawei's poor support (I asked two questions and got only half an answer to one).
